Hydrofoils

The basic principle of the hydrofoil concept is simply to lift a ship's hull out of the water and support it dynamically on wing-like lifting surfaces.This reduces the effect of waves on the ship and also reduces the power required to attain speed.

We offer foils made of 316L stainless steel, special strong duplex steel or titanium. Manufactured to follow the design precisely, our hydrofoils will deliver excellent performance. In general, a foil is around 3x more efficient at generating lift than the planing surfaces it replaces. This means up to 40% more mileage at cruising speeds carrying the same weight on a hydrofoil equipped motor yacht!
