Super-Strength Film Laminated GlassOcean Glass offers super-strength film for laminated glass. This new film is 100 times stiffer than conventional lamination films. What does this mean for our customers? Lighter is stronger only if safety is maintained. Our tests show that a typical 19mm + 8mm laminated plate of glass can now be 10mm + 10mm.
Reducing the weight while maintaining or increasing the strength makes this film remarkable. The savings on a yacht recently analyzed means the original 15T glass package can now be just over 10T, resulting in a significant saving in weight which translates directly into fuel savings and other advantages.
